MEET THE TEAM
Welcome to Haer Collective
At Haer Collective, we operate on two key principles: exceptional salon experiences and inspiring professional education. (funded Courses via the Adult Learner Loan and Private Training)
Ground Floor – The Salon Studio
Our open studio space is where clients are welcomed as guests. Lead by Simon and a team of independent, highly skilled freelance stylists, we pride ourselves on creating a professional yet relaxed environment where time, care, and attention are devoted to every appointment. Our goal? Outstanding results and a personal experience every time.
First Floor – The Education Space
Upstairs, our focus shifts to the craft of hairdressing education. This dedicated training hub is where our Haer Collective Ambassadors—some of the industry’s best—collaborate with fellow professionals. We don’t deliver off-the-shelf training. Instead, we consult with you to design sessions tailored to your needs, goals, and pace.
Whether you’re looking for a one-off workshop or a staged learning journey supported by tutorials and online demos, our commitment is to help you grow with confidence and creativity.
Our Ethos
Whether you’re a client or a stylist, communication is at the heart of everything we do. We listen first—because understanding your goals helps us deliver the best possible service, support, and results.
No question is too small. No ambition is too big.
At Haer Collective, our commitment is built on: Communication. Creativity. Implementation. Detail. Quality. Referral. Repeat.
Haer Collective vision & mission.
We are a dedicated team committed to crafting exceptional experiences. Our focus lies in providing reliable and innovative solutions, driven by a deep respect for quality and a genuine desire to exceed the expectations of all our service users, clients, guests and learners.
Within the Collective, no person is higher, lower or more important than other colleagues as this is the Collective. LONG LIVE THE COLLECTIVE
Simon Stuart; Founder, Education Professional and Hair Stylist.
My journey in hairdressing began in 1987, right in the heart of a bustling salon, Bramhall, Stockport. From day one, I had the privilege of learning from a diverse array of talented stylists, gaining a rich and varied skill set that shaped not only my craft but my perspective on what’s truly possible in this incredible industry.
After qualifying, I continued to build my experience behind the chair while pursuing a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University. Throughout my studies, I stayed connected to the salon world by working with private clients—an experience that reminded me where my true passion lies.
Returning to Greater Manchester, I made the decision to fully embrace the hairdressing industry once again. It was a choice guided by instinct and backed by the realisation that my skills, knowledge, and creativity were best expressed through hair—not simply fashion design.
Over the years, I’ve had the honour of growing from stylist to educator, Training Manager, and eventually Operations Director of Michaeljohn Training: Apprenticeship Provider and consultant working with other Training Providers . Each step of the journey deepened my commitment to the craft, and more importantly, to the people—mentoring, educating, and inspiring the next generation of stylists.
Haer Collective is the culmination of everything I’ve learned and loved over the past three decades. It’s a space where passion meets purpose—a collective built on collaboration, creativity, and community. Here, I get to do what I love most: work alongside some of the most inspiring professionals I’ve had the joy of knowing—some dating back to the very start of my career.
Through Haer Collective, I aim to create a lasting legacy—offering all I’ve gained to elevate others, now and into the future. This isn’t just a job; it’s a lifelong journey, and it’s only just getting started.
